Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the SNCI2013, I would like to invite you to participate in the 27th Annual Meeting of Society for Neurochemistry, India (SNCI) which will be held during 21st -23rd February, 2013 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India.

Neurochemistry plays a vital role in understanding the functional basis of the brain and central nervous system. The recent exponential increase in research in neurochemistry clearly indicates the growing interest in this field. The conference aims to provide a forum for stimulation of ideas and establishment of collaborations between leading academic scientists and young research scholars.

The scientific program covers frontier areas of neurochemistry in health and disease. Scientific sessions include Plenary Lectures and Invited talks by renowned neuroscientists from India and abroad. Poster presentations and interactive sessions intend to foster communication amongst delegates.

In order to stimulate the participation of junior scientists, full financial support will be provided to a certain number of selected Ph.D. students and Post-doctoral fellows.

SNCI 2013 meeting is unique as it offers hands-on-experience in neurochemical techniques in the form of “Pre-Conference Workshop”. The workshop is designed to offer exposure to a broad range of neurochemical techniques. Students are encouraged to avail this opportunity. However, the number of participants would be limited to 20.

Delhi boasts rich tradition and a colourful culture which is reflected in its art, crafts and music.

We look forward to welcoming you to an inspirational, educational, and enjoyable program in New Delhi, India.

Organising Secretary,
Dr. Moganty R. Rajeswari, FRSC
Professor, Biochemistry, AIIMS
